A small team that only does Oracle Retail
We are not a general IT services company with an Oracle Retail practice attached. Oracle Retail is the whole business, which is why we can afford to go deep on five applications instead of shallow on forty.
Where we are, and why that matters to you
Our team is in Hyderabad, India. Our clients are not — we work with retailers in North America, the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Most consultancies in this position either hide it behind a foreign registered address or sell it as a cost saving. We would rather do neither. The honest position is that our location is a real advantage for support and a neutral factor for project work, and that the legitimate concern about offshore delivery has nothing to do with geography.
The real concern is churn and juniority — that the senior consultant who won the work is replaced by someone learning on your system. That is a fair thing to worry about, and the way to test it is to ask who specifically will be on your account, how long they have worked on Oracle Retail, and how long they have been here. Ask us that on the first call.
How we prefer to start
With something contained. First-line support for a quarter, one integration, a regression pack for the next quarterly release. Small enough that you can judge the work on evidence rather than references, and walk away cheaply if it is not right.
Engagements that begin with a large fixed-scope programme and a vendor nobody has worked with before are the ones that go wrong. We would rather earn the larger work.
What we will tell you that others might not
When a customisation is not worth building. When a problem is in your process rather than your software. When the work you are asking for is outside what we are genuinely good at — Oracle Retail is a big suite and we would rather refer you on than learn on your budget.
Who you would actually be working with
The most useful thing we can tell you here is who does the work — names, how long they have been on Oracle Retail, and which parts of the suite they know best. We are putting that together properly rather than posting a stock photo and a headcount.
In the meantime, ask on the first call. We will tell you exactly who would be assigned, and you can talk to them before you commit to anything.
